WELCOME MESSAGE

Spring has finally sprung! I know it is hard to believe that summer is
just around the corner, and that it is only a few short weeks before
school is out and the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer begin. Until
then, remember that April showers bring May flowers (it is all worth it
in the end), and be thankful that at least the snow has ended (we
hope!).

Once again, the Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. Despite Easter’s
unusually early timing this year and some unpredictable weather, fun
was had by all. Thank you to everyone who brought items for the
Easter baskets. Woodhaven appreciated all of the yummy goodies!

We have a number of exciting events to finish off the season. Our
final Ladies’ Coffee will be in April, and we will once again be holding the
festive and popular Cinco de Mayo Casual Cuisine. The ever popular
Golf Scramble is also back, but this time with a twist. Join us for 9
holes of golf or some tennis followed by a BBQ. A perfect way to end
the season….

The SNNC has decided to return to paper mailings – our experiment
taught us that electronic newsletters were easily lost in the shuffle.
This is our final newsletter of the season, but the change will carry over
into next year.

Warmly,

Alexandra Morrill and Lorelei Randa
SNNC Co-Chairs

NEW FOR NEXT SEASON….

WELCOME OUR NEW CO-CHAIR, ANNMARIE BOWEN

Before moving to Sherborn in 2003, Annemarie lived in downtown
Boston with her husband, John and worked in the field of high-tech
marketing as an event planner.  Now, a mother of two boys, she is
busy maintaining order at home, is an avid participant in school-related
organizations and looks forward to doing her part to preserve the
SNNC, a group that she considers to have been a vital component in
establishing her family's roots in Sherborn.  Annmarie would like to see
the SNNC prosper and enjoys the idea of being a part of something
that provides such a strong sense of community for neighbors, as well
as vehicle through which newcomers can meet neighbors.

TREASURER POSITION AVAILABLE

Amy Davis has been a dedicated board member and much relied upon
treasurer of the SNNC for several years. Unfortunately for us, as her
bookkeeping expertise are increasingly called upon by schools and
other organizations, Amy is unable to commit to the SNNC for another
year.  As she gets ready to move on, we would like to thanks Amy for
keeping the SNNC in "balance" for so many years, and are thrilled that
we can rely on her for guidance in the future.  If there is anyone who
can offer their help as treasurer next year, we would be eternally
grateful.
Please contact Lorelei Randa at d.randa@comcast.net  if you are
interested.
